My Journey to Integrative Psychiatry
I began my career in conventional healthcare over 15 years ago, working everywhere from ICU floors to public schools to university classrooms. I taught post-graduate nurse practitioner students at Sonoma State University, served immigrant families in community clinics, and cared for patients across the lifespan.
But one truth kept surfacing: people are more than their symptoms.
That realization inspired me to create a practice that treats mind, body, and spirit as one — where psychiatry, therapy, and lifestyle approaches work together instead of apart.
From Uzbekistan to Lakewood — Finding Healing Across Borders
Born and raised in Central Asia, I was surrounded by Eastern wellness traditions — herbal medicine, mindfulness, and the belief that nature itself heals.
After immigrating first to Switzerland and then to the United States in 2001, I experienced the pressure to adapt, the loneliness of starting over, and the anxiety that comes from chasing perfection.
Those challenges became my greatest teachers. They taught me empathy, resilience, and the importance of self-acceptance — lessons I now share with every patient I meet.

The Heart Behind MindMorph
At MindMorph, we integrate Western neuroscience with Eastern holistic wisdom — combining ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, Spravato®, and medication management with mindfulness, movement, nutrition, and somatic practices.
This fusion allows us to address healing at its roots — nurturing the nervous system, body, environment, and soul together. The goal isn’t symptom suppression; it’s restoring harmony and self-awareness.
Why I Moved to Colorado
Before founding MindMorph, I operated a successful private practice in California — Maria Renoir Mindcare & Wellness, where I specialized in holistic psychiatry and ketamine-assisted therapy. Leaving it behind was not an easy decision. Yet, the progressive natural medicine laws of Colorado, along with the state’s openness to psychedelic research, trauma-informed care, and integrative approaches, made this move a natural evolution of my mission.
I also wanted to make care more accessible. In California, I operated on a fully cash-pay model to maintain independence and high-touch service.
In Colorado, I’m transitioning to a hybrid insurance-based model so that more people can access integrative, evidence-based mental health care — without financial barriers.
Because healing should not be a luxury; it should be an opportunity for everyone.

When I’m not seeing patients, you’ll probably find me in a hot-yoga studio, hiking a mountain trail, or planning my next adventure.
Yoga retreat in Bali? I’m there.
Meditation training in Thailand? Sign me up again.
Visiting a curandera in Mexico or Columbia? Always “YES”.
Travel keeps me grounded and curious. It’s how I recharge, explore spiritual traditions, and bring new wisdom back to my patients in Lakewood and beyond.
At home, my two cats and one very opinionated corgi remind me to slow down and savor the moment — my serotonin boosters on four legs.
