Conditions I Treat
MindMorph treats adults with depression, including treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD and complex trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder, through one integrated plan from one psychiatric nurse practitioner: therapy, medication guided by genetics and labs, lifestyle work, and Spravato or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy when standard care has not been enough. In person in Lakewood, CO and by secure video across Colorado and Oregon.
Treatment-resistant depression (TRD)
Depression that has not improved after at least two adequate antidepressant trials. This is the condition with the most new options: Spravato (esketamine), which is FDA-approved for TRD and often covered by insurance; off-label ketamine-assisted psychotherapy; and pharmacogenomic testing to stop guessing at the next medication. Resistant does not mean untreatable.
Major depressive disorder (MDD)
Depressed mood or loss of interest lasting at least two weeks, with changes in sleep, appetite, energy, or concentration. Care starts with a thorough evaluation, then therapy, carefully chosen medication, and attention to sleep and nutrition, stepping up to Spravato or ketamine options only if needed. Most of it works by telehealth.
Anxiety disorders
Generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, and trauma-related hypervigilance, treated as a nervous-system state rather than a worry habit: medication when it helps, CBT and mindfulness-based therapy, breathwork, and nutrition. Therapy alone is a legitimate plan here, and many people choose it.
PTSD
Trauma-informed care in the right order: safety and regulation first, then processing. Parts work, somatic and polyvagal-based therapy, trauma-focused psychotherapy, medication support when needed, and ketamine-based options for some patients. You control the pace, and you are not asked to retell everything before you are ready.
Complex PTSD
Complex PTSD after prolonged or repeated trauma: safety first, then IFS, somatic therapy, and medication when it helps. One clinician, Lakewood or video.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
Intrusive, unwanted thoughts and the rituals performed to quiet them, which is not the same as being neat. Treatment pairs exposure and response prevention, the first-line therapy, with SSRIs at adequate doses when indicated, plus mindfulness and somatic tools that make the exposure work tolerable, and newer options when first-line care has not been enough.
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)
Severe, cycle-linked irritability, mood swings, anxiety, or depressed mood in the week or two before a period that lift within days of its start. Diagnosed by tracking symptoms across two cycles and treated with SSRIs dosed daily or only in the luteal phase, therapy, and coordination with your gynecologist when hormonal options are in play.
How conditions are treated here
Every condition above starts the same way: a free consultation, then a 90-minute evaluation that looks at symptoms, history, sleep, nutrition, stress, and biology before a plan is written. The plan draws on the six MindMorph services as needed, and one clinician holds all of it. Current insurer lists and rates are on the insurance and payment page. Results and coverage cannot be guaranteed. Care is available in English and Russian.
