Meet Masha
I came to psychiatry through my own struggles with mental health, and through wanting a better relationship with my daughter. This short film is the story of why I practice the way I do.
Years of working with people from every background, especially immigrants, taught me how often physical symptoms trace back to mental health that never got real attention. I went back to school and specialized in psychiatry because of it. What I did not expect was how much healing would flow back into my own life.
If you have tried medications and therapy for years and still feel stuck, what you are feeling is valid, and there is always hope. There are more ways to address depression, anxiety, and OCD than a prescription pad: supplements, lifestyle changes, your environment, and in the right cases psychedelic-assisted therapy. My appointments stay unrushed on purpose. Intakes run about 90 minutes and follow-ups closer to 50, long enough to actually talk.
